About The Book
Delivering a humorous line before diving into a stressful client meeting always helps to break the ice. It allays any us-versus-them feelings and identifies common ground with your customer: Since we in the United States live to work instead of work to live, I've found this also helps to make the journey as enjoyable as possible. For if you love your work, it is no longer work
Over the decades, I have seen so many humorous events occur in the workplace that I began to jot them down for my amusement. However; as this book started writing itself, I realized that some of the material might be of value to younger consultants who are just starting out in their careers. For the more senior grizzled road warriors, I am hoping that you will get more than a few chuckles out of this book...
A sassy collection of anecdotes, observations, and sage guidance...
- How to find your gig
- Negotiating your rate
- Signing the contract
- Looking the part
- Navigating office politics
- Dealing with Partners
- Travel Tips
- Consulting & Family Life
- And much more...
